It has been an explosive start to the new year with our action-packed theme of ‘Into the Woods’.  There has been simply so much to explore.  The Y3 trip to BeWILDerwood and the Y4 BushCraft Residential have provided an amazing experience of entering real woods and we have taken every opportunity to use the visits to inspire our writing, our artwork and our science investigations.

Some of our narrative writing has been particularly effective in developing a spooky atmosphere, while we have been exploring the use of the past tense in writing clear, descriptive recounts of our adventures.  Our explore areas, have been great to help extend vocabulary and we are developing our repertoire of camp fire stories.  You have been warned!
