Busy fingers |
Children practise their fine and gross motor skills through a range of different challenges. |
Together Time |
Children come together on the carpet or an input from the Teacher. The focus of these sessions will vary between the different areas of learning. Everyday there will be one Literacy and one Numeracy input. |
Learning Walk |
Children walk around the learning environment and listen to the different challenges. |
Choose and Challenge |
Children have access to a range of different challenges where they can apply their learning and be inquisitive about new experiences. They may work independently or with their friends. The children will also have the opportunity to apply what they have learned during together time. All areas of learning will be open including the Outdoor learning environment. |
Snack |
During the morning there is free flowing snack and milk so the children can have this when they choose. |
Show and Share |
An opportunity for children to share something with their friends. |
Story Time |
Children will listen to and discuss different stories including Nursery Rhymes. |
Bikeability |
During the afternoon children are taken out in small groups to learn how to ride balance bikes. They will learn new skills and tricks on the bikes as well as how to be safe when riding. |
Forest School |
The children go to the Forest School area where children can build confidence and self-esteem while learning a range of different skills including den building, exploring the environment and even making camp fires. |
